Glimpse into my Diabetes Life

The ever constant battle with blood sugars displayed on my two new toys. On the left is my Continuous Glucose Monitor, it tracks the trends in my blood sugars 24 hours a day. On the right is my pump remote, where I can test and dose for exactly what my blood sugars read.

Diabetes life is crazy hectic and not fun at all, but it's been my life for the past 11 years. If you want to read more about it, you can here.

My cats like to sleep on my bed.


He is getting ready to attack.



Today, while I was still asleep, laying on my stomach, he actually found a way to wedge his way between my legs and make himself comfortable.

Wildflowers

Tomorrow I have to do an offsite with adult rehab patients. (Not that kind of rehab, the kind where you hit your head or had a stroke).

It's about wildflowers.

I don't know anything about wildflowers, except that there were a lot in bloom when I first started working here, and there aren't many now (so where do I find them? Ugh!).

And that this is called a Fire Pink.
